Each 1 g contains: Oxytetracycline hydrochloride 757mg.
(eq.to oxytetracycline base 701.44 mg).
Oxyvax is an oxytetracycline bacteriostatic antibiotic. It inhibits protein synthesis by binding to 30S subunit of the bacterial ribosome. It has a broad spectrum effect includes gram positive bacteria (Bacillus spp., Clostridium spp., and S.aureus), gram negative bacteria (Haemophilus spp., Pasteurella spp., Pseudomonas spp., E.coli, Salmonella spp.,Enterobacter spp. and Mycoplasma spp).
Oxyvax is used for Treatment of:
– Arthritis associated with S.aureus.
-Chronic respiratory diseases (CRD) associated with Mycoplasma spp.
– Colibacillosis associated with E.coli.
– Fowl cholera associated with P.multocida.
– Fowl coryza associated with H.paragallinarum.
– Gangrenous dermatitis associated with Clostridium spp.
– Omphalitis associated with Pseudomonas spp. and Enterobacter spp.
– Sallmonellosis associated with Salmonella spp. Target species: Calves, beef cattle and non lactating dairy cattle, sheep, pigs, chickens and turkeys.
Route of administration: Orally via drinking water.
– in water: For whole product: 2.85 gm /10 liters/ 7-14 days =30- 50 gm /ton bwt
– in feed: 300 gram/ton feed
– all other sources of water removed until the medicated water has been consumed.
Store at temperature not exceeding 30° C in dry place and used immediately after opening and reconstitution.
