Composition:

– Tilmicosin phosphate 25 g

Properties:

Tilmicosin Phosphate :

Inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 50s ribosomal subunit (Bacteriostatic).

Indications:

For the treatment of:

• Respiratory infection as:

     – Mycoplasma

     – Fowl cholera

     – ORT

• Gram +Ve Bacteria as:

     – Clostridia

     – Staph

     – Strept

Advantages:

• More effective than tylosin as it has longer half-life time.
• Accumulates in lung tissue, and alveoli, so it has powerful action against respiratory diseases.
• Rapidly absorbed from GIT, and slowly eliminated from body.
• Serum concentration of tilmicosin in normal and Mycoplasma gallisepticum infected broiler chickens could be detected in a therapeutic level for 24 h following oral administration, exceeding the MIC of tilmicosin for Mycoplasma gallisepticum.
• Exhibits both anti-inflammatory, and immunostimulatory effects.
